Took this snapshot from the cockpit this evening. Noctilucent clouds, a form of clouds that’s relatively unknown/uncommon . You only see them in higher latitudes during certain times of year and mostly during twilight. They’re basically ice particles at extremely high altitudes (250.000 - 280 .000 fee t, or for metric folk like myself, about 75-85km high up).
Also a bit of a shoutout to my backup phone, an old Microsoft Lumia 950XL that allowed me to capture this some what properly, as it has a better camera than most flagships today, despite being three years old. You don't want to see the images my iPhone X pooped out.

For reasons that I can’t explain beyond synchronicity , I was just thinking of the word “noctilucent” this morning. No idea why. You are so fortunate to see things none of us other folks will ever see. That’s gorgeous.

It was in flight mode, so it’s fine... :D . Nah, I only take pictures during the so called non-critical phases of f light. When work needs to be done, no more time for play.

Luckily, you can catch this phenomenon from the ground quite easily as well, you just need to know where to be and when to be there basically, and then have a bit of luck . There are some amazing pictures of noctilucent clouds from the ground, much nicer than this snap.
I don’t dispute the benefits of my ‘office view’ though :D.

I miss my Lumia 920 for that same reason. It's camera was amazing.

Yep, it’s the only reason I still keep it around. Loads of resolved detail without oversharpening, one of the first to support RAW from phones, Rich HDR is still the best implementation for Auto HDR in any smartphone, allowing you to pick the amount of HDR/tonemapping after the fact.
None of the current flagships have this. My hope at the moment is on the Oppo Find X, it seems to have lots of detail without oversharpening as well. But I'm not impressed with the iPhone X in terms of the camera, which is a shame. Give me an iPhone X with a Lumia 950 XL camera and I'm done.
